Coroner IDs woman killed in North Las Vegas crash

A woman who died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday in North Las Vegas has been identified as Rose Cherilyn Kelly, 62, of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Kelly died of multiple blunt force trauma, the Coroner’s Office reported.

The car Kelly was driving collided about 7:30 p.m. with an SUV at Alexander Road and Commerce Street, North Las Vegas Police said.

Preliminary reports suggest the SUV struck the car, police said.

Kelly was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The 28-year-old man driving the SUV was taken to UMC in critical condition but has since been released from the hospital, North Las Vegas Police Officer Aaron Patty said.

No charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing, Patty said.
