Inmate, 58, dies at High Desert State Prison

A Nevada Department of Corrections inmate died Sunday of a chronic medical condition.

David Mireles, 58, of Clark County died at High Desert State Prison near Indian Springs, according to a news release from the state Department of Corrections.

Mireles entered state custody on Aug. 28, according to the release. He was serving concurrent sentences of five years to life for sexual assault and 10 years for burglary.

The Clark County Coroner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
