51s beat Sacramento for third straight win

Eric Campbell and Travis Taijeron hit home runs today for the Las Vegas 51s in an 8-5 victory against host Sacramento.

Campbell went 3 for 5 with three RBIs and homered for the second straight day, helping the 51s (3-2) win their third straight game.

Matt Reynolds, a top infield prospect for the Mets, the 51s’ parent club, tripled to break his mini-slump to open the season and finished with two hits. Outfielder Kyle Johnson added three hits and a run for Las Vegas.

The series at Sacramento, the San Francisco Giants’ Triple-A affiliate, continues the next three days. Las Vegas hosts Fresno Friday at Cashman Field for its home opener.
