Metro seeks suspects in robbery of armored car

Metro Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two men they say robbed a Sectran Secuirty armored car near downtown Las Vegas on Monday.

The men approached the vehicle about 7:40 a.m. in the area of Maryland Parkway and Bonanza Road, police said.

One man held two employees in the vehicle, while the second one grabbed bags of money, police said.

One man was black, 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark gray, zip-up hoodie with a blue surgical mask and was armed with a handgun, police said.

Police did not have photos of the suspects.

Sectran Security Inc. is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
