A 51-year-old man was arrested at a bus stop Wednesday in connection with a robbery just before noon the same day at Bank of the West on Valle Verde Drive at Sunset Road, Henderson Police reported.

Scott Davenport was taken into custody without incident at the bus stop near Boulder Highway and Nellis Boulevard, police said.

Money from the bank robbery was found in his possession, and detectives recovered further evidence of Davenport’s involvement in the crime during a search of his apartment, police said.

Detectives located and identified Davenport based on witness descriptions of the suspect and the vehicle he used to flee the scene, police said.

The suspect robbed the bank by presenting a note demanding money to a cashier, police said. No weapons were used, and no one was injured, police said.

Davenport was being held at the Henderson Detention Center on counts of robbery and burglary, according to police.

Metro Police and the FBI assisted in the arrest.
