Wilfredo Tovar’s game-ending two-run double with two outs in the ninth inning today lifted the Las Vegas 51s to a 6-5 victory against visiting Albuquerque at Cashman Field to a complete a four-game series sweep.
Tovar’s double scored Johnny Monell and Kyle Johnson with the winning runs to give Las Vegas (12-8) its sixth straight win.
Las Vegas erased a four-run deficit behind three hits from Travis Taijeron, and a 2 for 5 performance with a double, RBI and run scored from leadoff hitter Dilson Herrera.
The 51s return to action at 7:05 p.m. Thursday against Reno on Dollar Beer Night.
