Mobile home fire displaces 7, sends 1 to hospital

One person was taken to the hospital and seven people were displaced in a northeast valley mobile home fire this afternoon, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The American Red Cross is aiding two adults and five children displaced after a fire broke out at the Carefree Country Mobile Home Park at 3325 N. Nellis Blvd., near Las Vegas Boulevard North, the fire department said.

A neighbor was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation, the department said.

Firefighters were called about 5 p.m. to the double-wide fire, which was extinguished quickly, the department said.

The Clark County Fire Department and the North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to the scene

Fire investigators will try to determine the cause of the fire and a damage estimate.
