North Las Vegas police have made an arrest in a shooting that left a man fatally wounded overnight.

Officer Aaron Patty said today the victim and suspect knew each other, and the shooting a little after midnight wasn't a random act.

The suspect, Anthony Glasper, 34, of North Las Vegas, was booked at the Las Vegas City Jail on a counts of murder and ex-felon in possession of a firearm, police said.

Patty said it appeared the two men argued before multiple shots were fired on Valley Regal Way near where the victim lives. The neighborhood is near Craig Road and Decatur Boulevard.

The victim, a 35-year-old North Las Vegas man, reportedly ran outside and collapsed in the road, police said. He was found unconscious and was pronounced dead at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, police said.

Glasper later returned to the scene and was taken into custody, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim's name after his family is notified.
