A former small-town Oklahoma police officer pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Nevada state court to felony statutory sexual seduction and kidnapping charges involving a 15-year-old girl.
A judge scheduled trial Oct. 26 in Clark County District Court for 30-year-old Danniel Boone Morgan II.
Morgan, from McAlester, Oklahoma, could face up to life in prison if he's convicted.
He was fired as a police officer in Kiowa, Oklahoma, following his arrest June 25 with the girl at a Las Vegas Strip hotel.
He's accused of having a sexual relationship with the girl in Oklahoma before abducting her from her grandmother's home in Turlock, California.
Morgan is held on $200,000 bail at the Clark County jail in Las Vegas.
Prosecutor Stacey Kollins says Morgan also faces felony charges in California and Oklahoma.
