Traffic reports: Vehicle fire blocks ramp on southbound Airport Connector to eastbound 215 Beltway loop ramp

Latest traffic news:

• Officials say a vehicle fire has blocked the ramp on the southbound Airport Connector to the eastbound 215 loop ramp due, according to a text alert from the Regional Transportation Commission. The incident occurred at 10:09 p.m. today.

• A crash on Interstate 15 northbound to the U.S. 95 northbound/Martin Luther King Boulevard ramp shut down the right lane of the ramp, according to the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada. The crash was reported about 2:23 p.m. today. Nevada Highway Patrol didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

• Officials have shut down the right lane of northbound Interstate 15 to the Flamingo Road off-ramp due to an accident, according to a text alert from the Regional Transportation Commission. The accident occurred at 10:57 a.m. today. More details will be reported as they become available.

• Construction on the 215 Beltway left only one lane open westbound near Decatur Boulevard this morning. The other lanes were closed for several hours but reopened by 2:40 p.m., according to the RTC.

• A three-car accident on U.S. 95 northbound blocked the left lane for approximately two hours this morning, resulting in traffic delays.

The accident was reported at 7:50 a.m. and involved a white Ford Mustang, a gold Honda and a silver Honda, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.

NHP said that no one was transported for injuries, and the lane was opened by 9:50 a.m.

• A fiery two-vehicle accident late Wednesday on the 215 Beltway left one man with critical injuries and prompted authorities to shut down the highway's westbound lanes for about three hours.

The accident occurred at 10:34 p.m. just east of the Decatur Boulevard exit when a Honda CRV and a Ford Taurus collided, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.

The Honda caught fire after the accident, and three occupants of it were transported to University Medical Center. One, an unidentified man, suffered critical injuries. No one in the other vehicle was injured.

NHP said the highway was closed to westbound traffic until about 1:30 a.m.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
