A 28-year-old woman who died Thursday afternoon after being struck by an SUV in the southeast valley has been identified as Michelle L. Griego, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Griego, whose city of residence was not available, was killed while crossing the street about 5:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Boulder Highway, near East Russell Road, according to Metro Police.
Griego was crossing the southbound lanes of Boulder Highway when she was hit by a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer, police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 17-year-old Las Vegas girl driving the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said. She was not injured.
It was the 111th traffic-related death this year investigated by Metro.
