Pedestrian struck by car in November dies

A pedestrian who was struck by a Jeep near North Eastern Avenue and Fremont Street last month died yesterday, according to the Clark County Coroner’s office.
The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Eastern, just north of East Fremont Street, police said.
A 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling north when it struck the 39-year-old man, who was walking east outside of a marked crosswalk on Eastern Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries. Metro Police were informed on Dec. 3 of the man’s death.
This is the 113th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2015.
The crash remains under investigation.
