Metro Police are investigating a body found today in the northwest valley less than two miles from where a shooting victim’s body was found Wednesday.
The second body was discovered about 5 a.m. today at the Quail Tree Apartments, near U.S. 95 and Alexander Road, police said. The person was declared dead at the scene, police said.
No additional details were available.
The discovery came a day after a body was found with a gunshot wound near U.S. 95 and Lone Mountain Road.
Police said they don’t think the incidents are related.
The first body was discovered about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday near an access road next to the freeway, and it appears the man might have been shot there, police said. No motive or suspects have been determined, police said.
