Las Vegas man, 25, found dead at apartment complex identified

A man found dead at a northwest valley apartment complex early Thursday has been identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as 25-year-old Las Vegas resident Yonas Andebrehan.

Officers were called about 5 a.m. Thursday to investigate a report of a man down at the Quail Tree Apartments, 7100 W. Alexander Road, near U.S. 95, according to Metro Police.

Police found Andebrehan in the grass near an apartment building, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It appears he was shot in the chest then ran a short distance before dying, according to police and the Coroner's Office.

His death was the 124th homicide this year investigated by Metro Police.
