Pahrump teen killed in U.S. 95 crash; 2 others injured

A 15-year-old Pahrump boy was killed in a crash Friday night that critically injured a Henderson man and seriously injured a Pahrump woman, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Also according to the Highway Patrol:

A 65-year-old Spokane, Wash., man was driving a 2011 Peterbilt truck in the right northbound lane of U.S. 95 near mile marker 31 about 7:30 p.m. when he ran into the back of a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier. The Cavalier spun clockwise through the left lane and into the dirt median.

Delonae Booth of Pahrump, a passenger in the Cavalier, was killed; the driver, a 55-year-old Pahrump woman, was taken by ambulance to St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson with serious injuries. Another passenger, a 69-year-old Henderson man, was flown by helicopter to UMC Trauma in Las Vegas with critical injuries.

The Peterbilt's driver was not injured.

The fatal crash is the 57th in the NHP Southern Command's jurisdiction this year.
