3 suspects sought in attempted robbery that led to shootout

Metro Police are looking for three males they say wounded a man in a shootout during an apparent attempted robbery last month near Pecos Road and Washington Avenue.

Officers were called about 8:40 p.m. Nov. 20 to investigate a report of a person shot in the 900 block of North Pecos Road, police said in a news release.

The man was found with a gunshot wound and taken to University Medical Center with injuries believed to be nonlife-threatening, police said.

It appears the man was with his wife in a parking lot when three males approached, one of whom pointed a gun at the man, police said.

The man drew his own gun, and one of the three male suspects fired, police said.

The man was struck but fired back multiple times before the suspects fled, police said.

Police described the suspects as black males in their teens to 30 years of age.

Two suspects appeared thin and one looked heavier, police said.

Anyone with information on the suspects can contact Metro's Northeast Area Command Investigations Detail at 702- 828-7332. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
