35-year-old High Desert inmate dies at Las Vegas hospital

Prison officials say a 35-year-old inmate died over the weekend at a northwest Las Vegas Valley hospital.

Officials with the Nevada Department of Corrections say Gregory Dufour died Saturday evening at Centennial Hills Hospital. The Clark County Coroner's Office responded and is scheduling an autopsy.

Dufour had been serving time in High Desert State Prison since March 2001. He'd been convicted in Clark County of sexually assaulting a victim under the age of 16, and was serving a sentence of 6 to 25 years.
