A 72-year-old inmate convicted of sexual assault against a minor died Tuesday at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center.
According to the Nevada Department of Corrections, Robert Veach died just after 10 a.m. at the Regional Medical Facility in Carson City.
Veach was committed from Washoe County May 2, 1997, and was serving 240 months to life for sexual assault of a victim under 16.
An autopsy will be performed by the Carson City Coroner’s Office.
