A suspect in a fatal shooting last year at a Hollywood, Calif., nightclub was arrested today in Las Vegas, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Brian Long, 36, a fugitive wanted by the Los Angeles Police Department was arrested in the area of Durango Drive and Warm Springs Road by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Long was identified as a suspect in a June 2014 shooting at a Hollywood nightclub that left one man dead and injured five other patrons, authorities said.

A warrant was issued charging Long with murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Marshals Service.

U.S. marshals developed information that Long had fled to the Las Vegas area. He was booked at the Clark County Detention Center pending extradition to California.

“This is yet another example of how our joint agency efforts are apprehending fugitives who think they can hide in the Las Vegas community,” District of Nevada U.S. Marshal Christopher Hoye said in a statement.

The task force is led by the Marshals Service with officers from Metro Police, the Nevada Department of Public Safety and the Nevada Department of Corrections.
