A DMV location was evacuated Saturday after a man who wanted to get in after hours broke a window and entered the building, a spokesman said Tuesday.
Security refused to let a man into the DMV building located at 2701 E. Sahara Ave. shortly after 4 p.m., as the building had just closed its doors, DMV spokesman Kevin Malone said.
The man then tipped over and broke two stone trash can holders before throwing an object through a glass window at the front of the building, Malone said.
Panicked customers began jumping behind counters and running past employees to get away from the man, he said.
DMV employees evacuated the building, and Metro Police and Nevada Highway Patrol were among the responding agencies, Malone said.
The man was apprehended, he said.
Details about the suspect were not immediately available.
