A woman whose body was found behind an east valley strip mall Saturday has been identified as 54-year-old Kathy Shines, the Clark County Coroner’s Office said.
Shines, a Las Vegas resident, died of multiple stab wounds in a homicide, the Coroner’s Office said.
Metro Police received a call just before 6 a.m. Saturday about a woman who appeared injured in the 3300 block of Nellis Boulevard, near Desert Inn Road, according to a news release.
Shines, whose body was found behind Hammerheads Bar & Grill East, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police believe an unidentified suspect attacked Shines before fleeing the scene, the release said.
The suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic man about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, the release said.
The man was last seen wearing a black, hooded jacket, black beanie, red shirt, black pants and dark gloves, police said.
