Metro Police are investigating a fire at a restaurant just south of downtown Las Vegas that appears to have been set to conceal a crime, officials said.
A passerby noticed the small fire about 4 a.m. at Chuy’s Tacos in the 2200 block of South Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
When firefighters arrived, they found a broken window and light smoke coming from a roof vent, Szymanski said.
It appears someone broke into the restaurant and then set the fire to conceal the crime, he said.
No one was injured.
