‘Weird Al’ Yankovic launching tour in Las Vegas

Things are about to get weird at Planet Hollywood.

Singer-songwriter and parodist “Weird Al” Yankovic will perform nightly at the hotel from May 12 to 16 to launch his 100-city 2015 Mandatory World Tour, according to Caesars Entertainment.

Yankovic, who released his 14th studio album, “Mandatory Fun,” in July, has won three Grammys and is well known for comedy songs including “Amish Paradise” and “White & Nerdy.”

“Mandatory Fun” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming the first comedy album to top the chart since 1963.

It has been nominated for a Grammy for best comedy album.

Presales at weirdal.com begin 10 a.m. Jan. 27, and ticketmaster.com will have a presale for Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards members beginning 10 a.m. Jan. 28. Tickets will be available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Jan. 30.

Tickets for the shows, scheduled for 8 p.m., are $59 and $89, not including taxes and fees.
