FALLON, Nev. — Churchill County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a Texas truck driver who had been reported missing several days before his body was discovered about 50 miles east of Reno.
Sheriff Ben Trotter confirmed Thursday the dead man is 50-year-old Mario Munoz of El Paso, Texas.
His body was found the day before in a ditch less than a mile from where his semi-trailer truck was discovered on Monday.
Trotter says the truck was parked in a suspicious way on a residential road. Inside was Munoz' cellphone and wallet. He says Munoz had some health issues and may have walked away from the truck.
An autopsy is pending.
