The Southern Nevada Health District has launched an app that lets users browse restaurant grades and inspection reports. The app, Restaurant Grades Southern Nevada, is available for free download via the Apple Store and Google Play.

Attention Las Vegas foodies: The Southern Nevada Health District has launched an app that might help you decide where — or where not — to dine.

The app — Restaurant Grades Southern Nevada — lets users browse current and past inspection information. The app lists restaurant grades, details violations and provides a portal to Yelp restaurant ratings.

For instance, the app shows a Subway on Green Valley Parkway had six demerits during its most recent inspection but received an overall A grade.

A Chipotle on Decatur Boulevard most recently received a B grade and 14 demerits for violations such as not properly protecting food from potential contamination and not keeping small wares and portable appliances in good repair.

Users can bookmark their favorite restaurants and search for eateries in their area. To download the free app for iOS or Android devices, visit the Apple Store or Google Play.

The Health District’s other apps include Neon to Nature, which helps users locate rural trails and parks in the Las Vegas Valley, and the Sugar Savvy Beverage tracker, which highlights the amount of sugar in drinks.
