2 seriously injured in crash involving RTC bus, car, truck

Two people suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision that caused a pickup truck to slam into an RTC bus Friday in the northeast valley, according to Metro Police.

The crash happened at 12:49 p.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard, just north of Lamb Boulevard. A preliminary investigation indicates a Chevy Malibu collided with a Nissan Frontier, thrusting the Frontier into the rear of the public bus, Lt. George Warner said. The bus had been parked at a bus stop.

Two occupants in the Frontier were transported to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with serious injuries, he said. Some passengers on the bus, which was carrying 12 people, were treated for minor injuries.

Metro’s traffic detail is investigating.
