Body found in Lake Mead near where man went missing

The body of a man was found in Lake Mead a week after a man went missing in the same area.

The National Park Service said the body was recovered from the Boulder Basin in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area about 8 p.m. Sunday after a boater called to report it floating near the Boulder Harbor.

Authorities have been searching in the same area for a 35-year-old man who jumped from a boat on July 5. He was wearing a life jacket but it came off and he was last seen going under water.

The name of the man found and his cause of death is pending from the Clark County coroner's office.
