A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after one boat crashed into another at Lake Mead this morning, according to the National Park Service.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area officials were alerted about 11 a.m. of a crash involving the boats at Sandy Beach near Callville Bay, according to a media release from the park service.
A boat hit another boat from behind, and a woman on the boat that was hit was taken to University Medical Center by helicopter, the release said.
A man on that boat was treated at the scene for minor injuries, and the third occupant was not injured.
The driver of the other boat was not injured, the release said.
Officials are investigating.
