Flash flood watch set through tonight in Las Vegas Valley

The Las Vegas area remains under a flash flood watch through 11 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.

Also according to the Weather Service:

Rain related to Hurricane Dolores, off the California and northern Mexico coasts, is hitting the region. Flash flooding also is possible in northwest Arizona and much of San Bernardino County in California.

The chance of precipitation was expected to be 40 percent today and 20 percent Sunday, with a high of 92 degrees Sunday and a low of 76. The average high for July 19 is 105, with a low of 79.
