Traffic is flowing again on West Sahara Avenue after a suspicious package shut down the road this morning from South Decatur Boulevard to Arville Street, Metro Police said.

Businesses near West Sahara Avenue and Arville Street were evacuated as officers investigated the package, which was reported about 8:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of West Sahara Avenue, Officer Michael Rodriguez said.

The package was reported by an employee of a business in the area, Rodriguez said.

The package has been rendered safe, and the road was reopened about 10:50 a.m., Officer Laura Meltzer said.
