A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a truck pulling three trailers Wednesday night on U.S. 95, south of North Durango Drive, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
The Highway Patrol was called about 11:50 p.m. to the northbound lanes of U.S. 95, where the man had been walking, Trooper Loy Hixson said.
The man was not carrying identification or any possessions, and there were no vehicles in the area to indicate he was stranded after car trouble, Hixson said. Troopers are investigating why the man was on the highway, he said.
The truck driver was not injured, Hixson said.
