CARSON CITY — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is planning a visit to Nevada later this month after he's expected to formally join the Republican presidential race.

Bush's staffers say he will be in Henderson the evening of June 27. His son George P. Bush is scheduled to visit Las Vegas on June 17.

Senior Bush aides have confirmed to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity that the former governor will enter the race June 15 during an event at Miami Dade College.

His travels in June will also include stops in the early primary states of New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina.

The 62-year-old Bush is the son of George H.W. Bush and younger brother of George W. Bush. He's also a friend of Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval.
