A truck trailer filled with a load of safes collapsed on the Russell Road on-ramp to northbound Interstate 15 this morning, blocking the ramp, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The truck was turning about 10 a.m. when the load shifted, causing the trailer to collapse, Trooper Loy Hixson said. It appeared as if the trailer was bent near the middle and touching the road.
Nobody was injured, and no other vehicles were involved, he said.
The safes were improperly tied down, and they had to be unloaded before the vehicle could be removed, officials said.
