Pipe bombs found in water at Lake Mohave

Three pipe bombs were discovered underwater at Lake Mohave on Monday, according to the U.S National Park Service.

At 2 p.m. a visitor reported suspicious-looking pipes in the water near Turkey Cove, south of Katherine Landing, at Lake Mohave, officials said in a statement.

As a precaution, the National Park Service closed the area to investigate.

Hoover Dam Police searched the area and located three devices, officials said.

The Kingman Police Department and Arizona Department of Public Safety Bomb Squad seized the bombs.

The contents of the pipe are still under investigation.

The area has been reopened.
