Future dog parents are in luck: The Animal Foundation is hosting a "name your own fee" weekend starting tomorrow to help ease overcrowding at the shelter.

Wannabe owners can adopt any of the shelter's more than 250 canines for whatever they can afford until Monday.

Adoption fees for the shelters dogs usually range from $105-$250. The Animal Foundations says all offers made by qualifying adopters will be accepted.

The organization will also waive adoption fees for rabbits during the "Save a Life" weekend.

The shelter hopes to offset the number of new pets coming in during its busy summer season.

"We desperately need the community's support," Andy Bischel, the organization's director of development, said in a press release. "Our goal is always to find the best possible homes for as many of our incredible shelter pets as possible, but we need help."

The organization, which hopes to save 90 percent of its healthy and treatable animals by 2020, is also running a special on cat adoptions through the end of this month.

Adoption fees for kittens five months and younger are 50 percent off and cats six months and older are just $5 to adopt.

All discounted adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchips and up-to-date vaccines, the organization said.
