Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt has named Joelle Gutman of Reno as domestic violence ombudsman to work with and advocate for such victims.
Gutman has been resource director at Step2, a Reno program that helps women deal with addiction, poverty and family violence.
She will earn $59,634 effective July 1.
Laxalt also named Cory Hernandez, also of Reno, to the Domestic Violence Prevention Council.
