Woman crashes into Reno car dealership, damaging 4 vehicles

RENO — A woman has been hospitalized after crashing a car into a dealership in south Reno.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that Reno police say the driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a 9:30 a.m. Monday crash at the CarZone dealership.

CarZone manager Derick Prokop says the woman drove past red light and was struck sideways by a truck. That caused her car to jump the sidewalk and hit a ramp holding up another vehicle.

Prokop says the ramp buckled and tipped that car onto another car. A total of four cars were damaged at the dealership, not including the two vehicles involved in the accident.

The manager says they weren't totally and the dealership is still waiting on a damage estimate from its insurance company.
