A 50-year-old man is in custody after Metro Police allege he stabbed his ex-girlfriend Tuesday night at an apartment complex in the east valley.
Police received a report of the stabbing at 10:15 p.m. at the Lake Sahara Apartments, 2500 Karen Ave., near Sahara Avenue, Officer Michael Rodriguez said.
The suspect and his ex-girlfriend were in the midst of an argument when he stabbed her, Rodriguez said.
She was taken to the hospital with superficial cuts to her head and hands, Rodriguez said.
