CARSON CITY — A Senate committee is expected to begin hearings March 10 on Gov. Brian Sandoval’s budget plan that includes $1.1 billion in new and extended taxes.
Senate Majority Leader Michael Roberson, D-Las Vegas, said the governor has sent the plan to bill drafters. The Revenue and Economic Development Committee will conduct hearings.
As part of his plan, the governor has said most of the so-called “sunset taxes” scheduled to be repealed June 30 would be made permanent.
