Warmer temperatures are ahead after quick-moving storms Tuesday brought pea-sized hail, rain and gusty winds to the valley, according to the National Weather Service.

Gusty winds upward of 15 miles per hour were expected to continue into Wednesday and begin clearing out Thursday, but no rain is expected for the rest of the week, meteorologist Barry Pierce said.

The high temperature Wednesday should be about 59 degrees with a low of 40 degrees at night, Pierce said.

Temperatures should reach the mid-70s over the weekend, he said.

About 0.04 to 0.08 inches of rain fell across the western and southern parts of the valley Tuesday, he said.

Up to about 0.2 inches fell in some parts of Red Rock Canyon, Pierce said.

Hail fell in the Rhodes Ranch area, in the north valley and Moapa, meteorologist John Salmen said.

The storm dumped up to an inch of snow to areas of Mount Charleston, Salmen said.
