Scooter driver who crashed into bus dies from injuries

The man who crashed his scooter into a city bus last week died from his injuries Friday night.

On March 7, David Wear, 46, was riding a 2000 Jonway Scooter west on Sahara Avenue, just east of Liddell Road, when he drifted into a marked bus lane and hit a bus, Metro Police said.

Wear was transported to University Medical Center, where he died of blunt-force head trauma nearly a week after the incident, according to the Clark County Coroner's office.

No one on the bus was injured in the collision.
