SPARKS — Sparks police are investigating the sexual assault of a homeless woman under a bridge near the Truckee River.
Secret Witness has announced a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the attack early Friday in the area of Glendale and Galletti streets.
Police say the victim was sleeping under the bike path bridge when she was assaulted between 2 a.m. and 2:45 a.m.
They have no description of the suspect but say he may have left the area in a black Honda passenger vehicle.
