A 29-year-old single mother whose four dogs mauled two Las Vegas neighbors has pleaded guilty to a felony willful disregard charge in a plea deal to be freed from jail pending sentencing July 21.

Defense attorney Todd Leventhal said Tuesday that Jesse Vonstaden will pay restitution to a 65-year-old woman who received critical arm, leg and facial injuries in the Feb. 20 attack, and to a man who suffered a hand injury fending off the dogs.

Vonstaden had been held on $40,000 bail. Leventhal says she'll serve house arrest and care for her 7-year-old daughter.

Vonstaden could get up to five years in prison, but Leventhal says she hopes for probation.

The lawyer says Vonstaden no longer owns the dogs or lives in the home outside which the attack occurred.
