A two-alarm fire at a southeast valley apartment complex started in the kitchen of a downstairs unit and spread into the building’s attic, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
The fire, which created a plume of smoke that could be seen for miles, was reported about 9:20 a.m. today at the three-story building in the 2800 block of Calle Del Oro, near Tropicana Avenue and McLeod Drive, officials said.
Two apartments were impacted by the fire and several others were evacuated, officials said. Nobody was injured, but three pet cats were missing, officials said.
No damage estimate was immediately available.
