2 arrested in kidnapping of 14-year-old girl in Pahrump

PAHRUMP — Two people have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a 14-year-old girl in Pahrump.

Nye County sheriff's deputies say Tammy Ehart and Jason Klipple were arrested Friday.

They say they began looking for the girl after she didn't return home from school.

Klipple is accused of communicating with the girl through social media and picking her up before she arrived at school.

Deputies say the two allegedly concealed the child in their van and drove toward northern Nevada before turning around to return her to her home once they learned police were investigating.

The girl was found unharmed in the couple's van in Tonopah by deputies and returned to her family in Pahrump.

Bail was set at $230,000 for Ehart and $225,000 for Klipple.
