One person suffered gunshot wounds and four others were also taken to the hospital Monday night after a west valley shooting and related car crash, Metro Police said.
Police were called about 8:20 p.m. to the 1800 block of Plantea Court, near Oakey Boulevard and Buffalo Drive, Officer Jesse Roybal said.
One person was transported from the scene to University Medical Center with injuries not believed to be life threatening, he said.
A vehicle connected to the incident crashed near Flamingo Road and Valley View Boulevard, and all four people in the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to UMC, Roybal said.
Police did not disclose the extent of injuries to the occupants of the vehicle.
Metro robbery detectives are investigating the incident, Roybal said.
