A person was shot this afternoon near the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, according to police.
Las Vegas Metro Police received a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of Karen Avenue, just east of Maryland, at 1:48 p.m.
Two people have been detained in connection with the shooting, Metro said, and Karen is shut down between Maryland and Vegas Valley Drive.
The victim is being transported to Sunrise Hospital's trauma unit in unknown condition, according to Metro.
