Metro Police is hosting a women's resource fair on Saturday to help local women get their basic needs met.
The event will take place at the Laborers International Hall, 4201 E. Bonanza Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Metro's Northeast Area Command is partnering with community groups to provide basic needs like food and medical services, opportunity for job placement, career enhancement skills, mental health and counseling referrals and credit advice for women in the valley.
Groups from Suicide Prevention, Safe Nest and the Rape Crisis Center will also present information.
An area in the parking lot will be dedicated to games for children while mothers are inside the fair. Free food, drinks and live music will be provided for those attending.
