Updated Monday, May 11, 2015 | 2 p.m.

An 85-year-old man hit by a car while crossing Wynn Road in November died of his injuries, Metro Police announced today.

Tai Phung of Las Vegas was crossing the street about 3:40 p.m. on Nov. 4 when he was hit by a 2008 Nissan Altima turning left from Spring Mountain Road onto Wynn Road, police said. Phung was in a marked crosswalk with a pedestrian signal, police said.

Phung was taken to University Medical Center and died March 12 at Nathan Adelson Hospice, police said. The Clark County Coroner’s Office notified Metro the same day that Phung had died, but police said they waited until the cause and manner of death were determined before releasing details.

The 34-year-old driver from North Las Vegas remained at the scene and was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, police said.
