Man arrested after barricading himself in central valley

A man was taken into custody after an hours-long barricade situation in the central valley today after a domestic disturbance.

Patrick Zozaya, 37, who had an outstanding warrant, faces charges of battery domestic violence and obstructing an officer, Metro Police officials said. He was arrested at about 3:30 p.m.

Police responded about 12:25 p.m. to the home in the 1300 block of Robin Street, in the area of Rancho Drive and Owens Avenue, after receiving a call about the disturbance, officials said.

Officers evacuated nearby residents someone in the home was thought to be armed, police said.
